How to Cut a Dragon Fruit
What You’ll Need:
• 1 ripe dragon fruit
• Sharp knife
• Cutting board
• Spoon (optional)
Steps:
1. Slice in Half:
• Place the dragon fruit on a cutting board.
• Use a sharp knife to cut it in half lengthwise from top to bottom.
2. Remove the Skin:
• Option 1 (Scooping Method): Use a spoon to scoop out the flesh, similar to how you’d scoop an avocado.
• Option 2 (Peeling Method): Grip the edge of the skin and gently peel it away from the flesh with your fingers. The skin should separate easily.
3. Cut into Desired Shapes:
• Dice: Cut the flesh into small cubes.
• Slices: Cut into thin or thick slices for a decorative presentation.
• Balls: Use a melon baller to scoop out round pieces.
4. Enjoy or Store:
• Eat it fresh, add it to fruit salads, smoothies, or use it as a garnish.
• Store leftover dragon fruit in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
