Cherry Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Sweet meets savory in these vibrant Cherry Chicken Lettuce Wraps! Juicy chicken, tart cherries, crisp veggies, and a bold Asian-inspired sauce all wrapped up in fresh lettuce leaves—perfect for a light lunch or show-stopping appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 small carrot, julienned
- 1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts (optional for crunch)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sriracha (optional for heat)
- 1 head butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
- Toasted sesame seeds and chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat It Up
In a skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Cook the Chicken
Add ground chicken and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks (5–7 minutes).
- Flavor Boost
Stir in soy sauce, hoisin, rice vinegar, and sriracha. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend flavors.
- Add Cherries & Crunch
Toss in cherries, green onions, carrots, and water chestnuts. Cook for 1–2 more minutes, just until warmed through but still vibrant.
- Wrap & Serve
Spoon the cherry chicken mixture into lettuce leaves. Top with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately!
